May 2007

This month's featured grantees appear in articles about emergency department visits and long-term care.

Findings from a project led by Richard Johnson, Ph.D., were highlighted in a recent article on Ascribe Newswire. The article features a recently released report from Johnson and colleagues at The Urban Institute, showing "how changes in disability levels, financial resources, [long-term care recipients] adult children's availability, and other factors will affect the demand for paid and unpaid long-term care services."

Robert Lowe, M.D., M.P.H., a co-investigator on a project at the Office of Oregon Health Policy and Research, will be presenting findings from the project on May 16, 2007 at the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
